How Rucksack works
You get your own context
Your context is what your AI knows about you and your work. Everyone starts with a Daypack in the AI app they already use. A Rucksack, a folder of plain text files about you, your apps and projects, is coming soon.
You learn on your own work
The map is a public set of AI ideas, called concepts, grouped under five waypoints, milestones you reach. Your AI reads each concept and teaches from it.
Your AI teaches as you work
Your AI keeps your journal, a record of what you have learnt. When a concept would help, your AI gives you a short learning hint, once a chat at most. Say "not now" and your AI carries on.
You can show what you learnt
The map shows each concept as a circle. Prove one and its circle fills, and that circle is a badge. Prove a waypoint's core concepts and you earn its patch.
Your everyday AI gets better too
Your context improves as you use it, and comes with you. A Rucksack is read by apps that open folders, and by chat apps through their GitHub connector (ChatGPT and Claude today). An app that cannot reach it gets a Daypack of its own.
You start with one link
Give the Rucksack link to your AI to start your Daypack.
Rucksack is a free private beta. Badges and patches are being built now.
