What we keep
There is no account, so there is nothing to sign up for or log in to.
We keep only what you send through the feedback page, when that page is switched on, and a daily count of messages that is deleted the next day.
No tracking
The site has no tracking and no analytics script. A script is a small piece of code that runs in your browser, and only two pages use one: Home and the start link's page (the page at /start). On Home, the script does three things. It runs the "Simplify language" switch, which changes the page's wording to simpler words. It adds the gentle animations as you scroll. And it powers the buttons that copy the start instructions to your clipboard, ready to paste. On the page the start link opens, the script is its Copy button. Neither script sends anything anywhere, and the site loads nothing from any other website: no fonts, no trackers, no analytics. There is no advertising, and we sell nothing about anyone.
Home remembers whether you turned on "Simplify language", in your browser's local storage (a small store of settings that your browser keeps) on your own device. It is never sent to us, and clearing the site's data in your browser removes it. It isn't a cookie, and the site sets no cookies.
We keep no records of our own about who visits. When your AI reads one of our pages (the start link, the map, the rules page), that is a page read like any other. The request comes from your AI app's company or your own device, and we keep no record of who it was.
The feedback page
- Kept: your message, a reply-to email if you choose to give one, and the day it arrived (not the time).
- Not kept by us: your internet address, your browser details, or any cookie.
Only the owner of Rucksack reads messages, in a private inbox only the owner can open. No AI reads them.
Each message is deleted 58 days after the day it arrived. Every copy, including our host's (Cloudflare's) 30-day backup history, is gone within 90 days.
To keep the form from being flooded, it also counts how many messages arrive each day. Those counts are deleted the next day.
The page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from bots. It runs in your browser on that page only, under Cloudflare's own terms.
Your Daypack and Rucksack
A Daypack lives in your own AI app, in its settings and memory, under that company's privacy terms. A Rucksack lives on your own computer or your own GitHub. We never see either.
Your Rucksack's files send nothing to us. Its scripts make no outside connections, and its nightly tidy (a scheduled clean-up of your files) runs in your own GitHub and saves only to your own copy.
What your AI app's company does with your chats is between you and them, under its terms. Your AI app's settings decide what it remembers and whether your chats train its models.
The host
Like any website host, Cloudflare handles the connection that delivers a page. It sees what any host sees, such as your internet address and browser, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to delete it. Because there are no accounts, the only thing we can hold is a feedback message you sent. Tell us roughly when you sent it and a few words from it, and we will find and delete it.

If what we keep changes, this page changes first.
